We are open to holiday exchanges

If you have a home or holiday home in another part of the world we are open to offers to exchange rather than rent Casa Violeta. If you are not familiar with this idea, it basically means that we swop houses. You stay in our house, and we stay in your house, not necessarily at the same time so long as we can arrange dates that work.

However, we are picky about what we are looking for in an exchange! So please read carefully. Unless you can offer us something that meets our requirements, we are unlikely to say yes. (Though it never hurts to ask!).

Either, we would like to exchange for homes in ski resorts. We will consider anywhere in the world, thought we particularly like the Alps or other big mountains. We like downhill (Alpine) skiing.

Or, we are interested in European Capital Cities or Cultural Centers. Paris, Nice, or, frankly, most French towns and regions; Rome, Florence, Venice; Barcelona, Madrid, Stockholm etc. (With the likely exception of London since we have family in London and have lived there before ... been there, done that).

Or, we will consider beautiful European countryside. Examples might be the Cotswolds or Lake District (UK); the Dordogne or South of France; Tuscany, Liguria, Umbria (Italy).
